Foundations — the complete SME Handbook

Every module, every film, every quiz and the whole Handbook — unlocked the moment you pay. Fifty-nine pages across seven modules, fifty-six sections and four appendices, plus two masterclass films — built from the written standards, reviewer checklists and rejection feedback of seven live program types, with no vendor, lab or client named anywhere in it.

One payment. No subscription, no expiry, and every future revision included.

What you receive

A reference you will keep open while you work — not a video course you watch once.

Delivered as a single document plus the films, downloadable the moment payment clears. Yours permanently, including every revision we publish.

59 pages · 7 modules

Module 0 through Module 6, from where SMEs actually sit in post-training to lasting in the industry without burning out.

6 working checklists

Prompt, input file, rubric, skill, audit and pre-submit gates — the ones you run before you hand anything in.

Quizzes and the exam

A short quiz closing every module, and the comprehensive scenario-based exam across the whole Handbook.

A video explainer per module

The method on screen for every module, plus the two long-form masterclasses on rubric design and AI evaluation.

Every future revision

The document is versioned. When requirements shift and we update it, you get the new edition at no cost.

All eighteen modules unlocked

F1 through R4 — foundations, the full craft sequence, and the reviewer and auditor material. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.

The modules

Seven modules, in the order the work actually happens.

Foundations: why the work exists

Pre-training versus post-training and where SMEs sit. The two data schemas. How evaluations are actually run. Hill climbing and the shelf life of a task. The expert-only bar and universality. Where your time really goes.

1

Prompt engineering for evaluation tasks

The two voices. The attributes every prompt must satisfy. Real difficulty versus artificial difficulty, and the levers that add the real kind. Difficulty targets by program. The anti-patterns that cause rejection. Testing a prompt against a live model.

2

Input file authenticity

Counts, types and hard gates by program. Where files come from and what "100 percent authentic" actually means. Building complexity into the files. The answer-leakage sweep. Privacy and attestation. Naming and hygiene.

3

Rubric design

What a rubric is for, and its composition by program. The build process and criterion-level rules. Negative criteria and trap checks. Weights and criticality. Decomposing legal and professional reasoning. Metadata, sources, rationale, calibration.

4

Skill files: what they are for, and how to draft them

When a skill is warranted and what goes in one. The reusability test. A drafting method. The QA failure modes that sink skills. Plus a short primer on programmable skills for organizations.

5

Evolving into a better QA and QC professional

The two-stage review model. Structural checks versus expert judgment. The auditor mindset — second author, not proofreader. Rationale discipline. Communicating findings. The self-QA habits that get you promoted.

6

Surviving and thriving in the remote expert industry

The landscape. Getting in, and onboarding. The rules that end contracts. Pay, throughput and protecting yourself. Working under changing requirements. Conduct. Lasting. A practical toolkit.

Fit

Who this is for — and who it isn't.

Buy this if

  • You hold a real credential — JD, CPA, CFA, MD, PhD or equivalent — and you have been rejected, or expect to be
  • You would rather read the standard than sit through video
  • You want the checklists open on a second screen while you build your first task package
  • You are already working on a platform and keep getting sent back in review
  • You run a team and need a written onboarding reference

Don't buy this if

  • You want someone to grade your work and write back — this is the material, not a marking service
  • You are looking for a guaranteed placement or an income promise; we make neither
  • You have no professional credential yet — the whole field gates on one
  • You only learn in a live room with an instructor in front of you

Questions

Straight answers.

What exactly do I get for $495?

Everything. The 59-page Handbook as a PDF and a Word file you keep, all eighteen modules from F1 through R4 unlocked, a video explainer and a written explainer in each one, a short quiz closing every module, and the comprehensive scenario-based exam across the whole thing. One payment, no subscription, no expiry, and every future revision at no extra cost.

Is any of this taken from a specific platform's guidelines?

No. It is synthesized from the standards, reviewer checklists, operating procedures and rejection feedback across seven program types, and no program, vendor, lab or client is named anywhere in it. We teach transferable craft. We never reproduce a client's confidential material, and we never coach anyone to game a specific platform's assessment — that is in our published Integrity Code, and it is why the training holds up.

Will this get me accepted onto a platform?

Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is selling you something worse than this. What we can say is that the majority of credentialed applicants are rejected for craft reasons rather than expertise, and this is the craft, written down.

Do I need a technical background?

None. It is written for credentialed professionals with no AI or engineering background. If you can draft a memo or build a workpaper, you can learn this.

What format is it in?

A single formatted document you can read on screen, print, or keep open beside your work, plus two video files. No login, no platform, no subscription, no access that expires.

Is there a subscription, or anything else to buy?

No. $495 once, and that is the whole relationship. We are not holding back an advanced tier, and there is no monthly fee. If we add material to the Handbook later, you get it because you already own it.
